From day one of the learning process two youngsters sit before one computer. One operates the computer and is called a student trainee and the other observes, points to and looks for mistakes. The latter is called the student trainer. This process is strictly followed over time into the collective work process which ensures accuracy; gives the partner a break every alternate hour and over a period of time one identifies a natural ability in some of the youngsters to train and drive the programme, and they are encouraged to do so. This ensures minimum mainstream participation and encourages long term sustainability. |
